Pawsh Studio is offering FREE Soulmate Sessions to pets who have received a terminal diagnosis so that their families can celebrate, commemorate and remember their precious time together. Dear sweet Goliath visited the studio with his fur-sister, Gemma, and his devoted pet parents and here are a few of the final shots. We took our time, chatted, laughed and enjoyed healthy helping of treats as we worked through Goliath’s Soulmate Session. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family during this difficult time. It was a privilege to help you capture your boy’s gorgeous spirit!
To learn more about Pawsh Studio’s FREE Soulmate Sessions hop on over to our previous article. And please share with friends, your vet’s office or anyone who you feel might value this service.
If you love dogs and drawing then today’s interview with Jo Chambers from Studio Legohead is right up your alley! We first met Jo years ago when she had just opened her charming custom pet portrait Etsy shop.
We are thrilled today to be catching up with this flourishing British artist and chatting with her about the ups and downs of running a print shop, the never-ending quest for inspiration and, of course, her love of all things dogs and doodles!
I recently discovered a beautiful quote by American composer and teacher James Mumsford that perfectly describes the shih-tzu breed personality like a sweet little recipe.
“Nobody knows how the ancient eunuchs managed to mix together: a dash of lion, several teaspoons of rabbit, a couple of ounces of domestic cat, one part court jester, a dash of ballerina, a pinch of old man, a bit of beggar, a tablespoon of monkey, one part baby seal, a dash of teddy bear, and, for the rest, dogs of Tibetan and Chinese origin.” ~ James Mumsford (source)
This darling breakdown of traits perfectly describes Miss Rory, who is (believed) to be a shih-tzu and poodle muttlet. It got us wondering, what would your dog’s personality recipe read like? So, naturally, let us play a game and fill in the blanks! Leave your answer in the comments below!
My dog called _________, who is a ____________ breed is comprised of:
- a dash of ____________
- a couple of ounces of ___________
- a pinch of ___________
- a tablespoon of ___________
- and a bit of _____________
For example, Lucy’s recipe would read as follows: “My dog called, Lucy, who is a spaniel and poodle mix breed is comprised of a dash of lamb, a couple of ounces of kangaroo, a pinch of toddler, a tablespoon of pushover and a bit of teddy bear.”
We would really, really, really love to hear your dog’s personality recipe so please share with us!
