Call me old-fashioned, but I don’t think the festive season is truly upon us until the first day of December arrives. Maybe it’s because I spent years working in the customer service industry where sales were key and the holidays became nothing more than a chance for a store to make money, or perhaps it is because I don’t like to be rushed into anything — whatever the reason, I don’t believe the holiday season is here until the wonderful month of December officially begins. So I think it only proper that we celebrate today with a holly jolly giveaway and I cannot tell you how excited I am! We’ve had this giveaway planned for months and I’ve been bursting to share it with you!
You may remember Two Brunettes, a charming studio that creates beautiful customized pet portraits. These pieces of art are extremely ‘pawsh’ and Rory and I are completely smitten! That’s why we are thrilled to announce that instead of doing a December Pet of the Month contest we are offering this sentimental giveaway! One lucky winner will receive a unique and completely original portrait of their pet in true holiday fashion valued at $100!

First I absolutely love the above picture it is so adorable!
My favorite story looking back or should I say the most memorable happened when I was about 13 years old. We had a yellow lab that was 3 or 4 years old and was a previous Christmas present for my sister and I. We woke up on Christmas morning, ran to wake up our parents and then ran into the living room where the tree was. We stopped in horror to see wrapping paper all over the place, ripped open boxes and little pieces of our stockings that had been torn up. In the middle of the room was our big happy lab chewing a bone I had wrapped under the tree for her. She had opened almost every single present and even ruined some of them. Looking back on it we can laugh now but at the time everyone was quite upset with her.
What a beautiful giveaway! I’ve tweeted about the contest and have posted my story on your Facebook page. Thank you for hosting this wonderful giveaway!
I lOVE this!!!
I tweeted about it, and posted on the facebook page…. common Christmas Eve!!
10 Christmas’ ago on December 7th, my husband got me a puppy. It was an early Christmas gift. (We had been talking about getting a dog for some time and he surprised me with it). My parents were coming for Christmas that year, so we decided to keep our little Loki a secret from them. This was horribly hard as I hate secrets and surprises and Loki was so exciting.
My parents arrived just before Christmas and were totally surprised by our new furry addition. My mom scoped Loki up and he immediately peed on her. She is the only person he ever peed on like that (and he did it at least one other time as a puppy). While we said goodbye to Loki a year and a half ago, my mom still says he loved her best because he peed on her!
That Christmas was the best pet memory one!
I tweeted the phrase, and posted my story on your facebook wall.
Each year at Christmas, we hang ornaments on our tree that include photos of our current and past pets – they all mean so much to us, and are such a major part of our lives! We love celebrating Christmas with our pets. They, of course, get lots of extra treats for Chrismtas.
