Pawsh Pictures 03: The Lazy Days of Play

Photos by Emma Taylor
Happy Monday everyone! I hope your weekend afforded you every opportunity to drink in the delicious sunshine and soak up as much of the glorious outdoors as possible! Today let’s take a peek at the latest installment in the Pet Photography series. This little one certainly knows the meaning of fun in the sun. Continue on for some humourous photos of one pooch and their never-ending quest for the elusive tennis ball…

Just look at how enormous that tennis ball is for the little guy! Yet he remains determined to capture it as his own! Just for kicks, what caption would you give the last photo in this series? Leave it here or on the Facebook page!

Pawsh No. 5 Furry Fancy Sneak Peek

Five issues of an independent magazine is a big deal in my books, so it felt only right to feature a noble Great Dane on our fifth cover. Photographed by the ever lovely and talented Tonya Pet Photography, this is the image that will open our next issue entitled Furry Fancy. I don’t want to give away too much of what lays behind this cover, but let me say this — there will be all sorts of pawsh prettiness and care like you have never seen before! Stay tuned, our fifth issue goes live May 23rd. Oh, and if you’re interested in seeing a second sneak peek of a photo shoot that will be running in this issue, click here.

Ellen Heilmann Leather Doy Toys

Little ones who adore their dog often find it extremely difficult to be parted from them, making a leather dog toy (intended for children, not pets) an adorable temporary substitute. Of course, nothing can possibly replace the real Fido, but Ellen Heilmann‘s gorgeous contemporary toys are crafted with such care and detail that each appears to come alive with its own unique character. This project is the result of a partnership between Heilmann and Kathrin Schumacher and are fondly nicknamed Waldi (above) and Sprinter (below). Don’t you wish you had had one of these sweethearts growing up?

The new and improved Blueblood

Are you acquainted with Blueblood? A luxury dog brand owned and operated in San Francisco (obsessed with that city, by the way, and trying desperately to visit it this year), Blueblood was founded by two friends, Alexis Mechler and Tiny Pao…

Their mission is to craft high-quality and stylish lifestyle products for pets and their owners alike and the results are truly pawsh!

Blueblood has been around for years now, but recently relaunched their website so that it is ultra user-friendly and oh-so pretty! I would highly recommend popping over and having a sniff around. You’ll find amazing pet beds, gorgeous tote bags and leashes that look too nice to be worn! Well done Blueblood ladies!
