MORE LONDON BABY!

This London Bus pet bed design from The Stylish Dog Company is so sweet and pretty that I felt it deserved a post all of its own. Each one of these beautiful donut shaped bundles is made by hand while remaining machine washable. I am totally loving the fresh contemporary illustrations adorning this darling dog bed, especially the classic red phone booth!

Also remember these popular upcycled pet beds or this snug dog bed? There are so many options to choose from these days!

LONDON BABY!

The 2012 London Summer Olympics are just around the corner and with it all sorts of reasons to get into the British swing of things. So for fun here’s a roundup of a few stylish UK-inspired pet products…

1.  “I heart London” Dog T-shirt
2.  Union Jack Canine Doorstop
3.  Squeak Scone
4.  Furnam & Muttson Plush Tea Tin Toy
5.  Dog in Bus Leash
6.  Nora & Spencer “London Calling” Dog Collar
7.  Zen Union Jack Pet Bed

Being an admitted tea-addict (British in my blood!) I personally cannot get enough of the plush tea tin toy. I feel like it might be the perfect new toy to keep Miss Rory occupied while I watch the swimming and diving events. Are you looking forward to the Olympics too?

A SURPRISE FROM MUNGO & MAUD

As you might recall Rory and I are big fans of Mungo & Maud‘s darling designs. Remember these sweet doggie dinner dishes? So we were both ecstatic to hear this pretty company’s latest news…

Mungo & Maud has launched a US webstore, so customers can now order the full collection from their site and avoid international shipping rates and customs duties. The brand was started in 2005 by husband and wife team Michael and Nicole Sacher and has certainly come a long way since those early days.

Hopefully one day the webstore will one day also be open to Canadian residents. In the meantime, a note to all of our lovely American readers, enjoy and let Pawsh know if you treat your pooch to anything snazzy! On a completely random note, how cute are the tennis ball icecream cones? What a lovely idea for summer fun!

How comfortable does that pet bed look? And the knitted toy bone? Adorable! That pup is certainly a lucky one, don’t you think?

RORY STORIES: ODD TOYS

source unknown

The other day while at the dog park, Rory and I watched a majestic German Shepherd play fetch with his football-throwing owner. It was quite a sight to see this huge animal chase eagerly after an actual football and rush to bring it back for another toss. It wasn’t something I had thought of trying with a larger dog before, which got me to thinking about odd dog toys.

Rory loves…

socks! She is an absolute scamp when it comes to stealing socks, either out of the drawer, out of the laundry or when they have been carelessly left lying about on the floor. If you call her name when she has a sock in her mouth she will momentarily freeze, stare at you, then frolic away completely proud of herself and in absolute heaven.

My friend’s bulldog puppy absolutely loves empty yogurt containers and will diligently snuffle them out of the recycling to play with whenever he can. Meanwhile, another friend’s unknown mix (we suspect a boxer mix of some sort) will do anything for a chance to play with a wooden hanger. Not plastic, wooden! How random!

It’s a hilarious notion really, similar to the idea that children will spend hours playing with the box their new brand toy came in. So I’m curious — what odd toys do your pets play with? I would love to know!
