Pawsh No.3 — Sneak Peek!

Guess what? Pawsh No.3 is almost here! On September 21st our fall edition entitled ‘Learn to Wag’ will be hitting computer screens everywhere and do we have a lots of treats in store for you and your pets! From incredible new pet projects, to moving health insights, to funky products, colourful photoshoots and more, our newest issue will deliver all sorts of things to make the crisp autumn season a cozy and heart-warming time.

As always, we’re thrilled to share with you a little sneak peek by presenting our latest cover, photographed by the enormously talented Tonya Schabacker of Tonya Pet Photography. We picked this photograph for our cover based upon your votes in a little poll we held on our Facebook page, asking if you would rather see a cat or a dog on Pawsh No.3. Although it was a close race the majority of you voted dog, so voila, we present a little yorkie whose obvious personality shines through the camera!

Without your incredible support Pawsh would not be what it is today — a cozy corner of cyberspace where owners can source high-quality pet products and creative ideas; a community where owners can share their thoughts; a network that unites ethical and passionate pet businesses in the spirit of cooperation instead of competition; and an experience that rejoices in the wonderful nature of pets while giving back to animals in need. Thank-you so much for your continued encouragement and support! We cannot express how much it means to us or how much we love putting Pawsh together for you.

We sincerely hope that you enjoy our upcoming issue and we cannot wait to reveal it to you! And please, if you happen to see any write ups or posts blogged about Pawsh’s upcoming issue or happen to write one yourself, be sure to tweet, Facebook or email us about it so that we can say a proper thank-you! Hugs and happy Monday!

Tangram Bookshelves

Books are beautiful. The written word is a magical thing that can transport us to new places, introduce us to new people and open our minds to new concepts. So it should come as little surprise that we are always looking for new stylish ways to store, collect and show off our prized books and beloved titles. Introducing the Tangram Bookshelves from Lago. A gorgeous design, these bookshelves come in seven unique pieces that can be arranged in a variety of creative shapes from a tie to a figure playing sports. Naturally we like the dog and cat arrangements best to keep our book collection safe. You can find some of our favourite pet related books in the “Tails to Wag About” section of the magazine. But we’re also dying to know, what are some of your favourite books of all time — pet related or otherwise?

Remembering 9/11

source

When the twin towers fell over one hundred specially trained dogs assisted in the massive search and rescue effort. Today we remember the many lives that were needlessly and tragically lost, but also the many lives that were remarkably and wonderfully saved by the courageous work of police officers, firefighters, paramedics and service dogs alike. Take a moment today to sit quietly and honour those who were effected by this tragedy by remembering what happened.
