DOG BEHAVIOUR: HOW TO DESCRIBE YOUR DOG’S PERSONALITY

toronto-pet-photographer-dog-magazine-personality-testI recently discovered a beautiful quote by American composer and teacher James Mumsford that perfectly describes the shih-tzu breed personality like a sweet little recipe.

“Nobody knows how the ancient eunuchs managed to mix together: a dash of lion, several teaspoons of rabbit, a couple of ounces of domestic cat, one part court jester, a dash of ballerina, a pinch of old man, a bit of beggar, a tablespoon of monkey, one part baby seal, a dash of teddy bear, and, for the rest, dogs of Tibetan and Chinese origin.” ~ James Mumsford (source)

This darling breakdown of traits perfectly describes Miss Rory, who is (believed) to be a shih-tzu and poodle muttlet. It got us wondering, what would your dog’s personality recipe read like? So, naturally, let us play a game and fill in the blanks! Leave your answer in the comments below!

My dog called _________, who is a ____________ breed is comprised of:

  • a dash of ____________
  • a couple of ounces of ___________
  • a pinch of ___________
  • a tablespoon of ___________
  • and a bit of  _____________

For example, Lucy’s recipe would read as follows:  “My dog called, Lucy, who is a spaniel and poodle mix breed is comprised of a dash of lamb, a couple of ounces of kangaroo, a pinch of toddler, a tablespoon of pushover and a bit of teddy bear.”

We would really, really, really love to hear your dog’s personality recipe so please share with us!
