CHICKS IN HATS

I have always personally been a fan of hats, but the site of dainty chapeaux atop the feathered head of a chick is enough to make me giddy with delight! These beautiful and unexpected portraits are the brilliant work of Julie Persons who started the project Chicks in Hats with her eight-year-old daughter in 2011. Now the images can be purchased as calendars, magnets and other fun items! How darling! I don’t know about you but the mere site of these portraits makes my voice get all high-pitched from overwhelming cuteness! Keep reading for even more adorable photos (trust me, you won’t want to miss them!)

How’s your voice now? I can’t get enough of the miniature top hat personally! So sweet! How lucky these chicks are to have little hats for fall. Here are some lovely knitted scarves for dogs too in case you haven’t had enough cuteness for one morning.

ENGRAVED BUCKLE COLLARS

Every pet parent has had that moment when they realize that their precious little fluffball has somehow lost an ID tag amidst various fun and games. So a clever alternative to help keep your pet extra safe (in addition to their tags) is a personalized laser engraved buckle collar from Mimi Green! Offering a variety of lush fabrics and a strong metallic buckle, these collars are an ingenious and oh-so ‘pawsh’ product! Plus they help cut down your pet’s ‘jingling’ as they frolic around the house.

PET FASHION: HOUNDSTOOTH SWEATERS

Houndstooth is one of those timelessly elegant patterns that never fails to make a ‘pawsh’ impact. Traditionally worn in the classic black-and-white colour scheme, this pattern also makes a profound statement in a cool cucumber green. Snuggle up this fall with either of these beautiful sweaters; a RuffKnits sweater for pup or a cosy cardigan for you!

CANINE CAVIAR

There’s a new dog food on the market available exclusively at Global Pet Foods. It is called Canine Caviar, a grain free, alkaline-based food diet designed specifically to reduce cancer in pets.

The new food was developed by U.S. research scientist Jeff Baker for his own beloved Great Dane, Moguls. It is essentially a raw meat diet in a convenient kibble form and helps reduce the risk of cancer by providing pets with a nutrient rich food that is free of GMOs, gluten, hormones and anitbiotics.

“At Global Pet Foods we know diet has an enormous impact on your pet’s health and longevity,” says Jim Walker, president of Global Pet Foods. “With a reported one in four pets dying of cancer every year and nearly 100 different types of cancer affecting our pets, we felt compelled to make this groundbreaking pet food brand available to Canadian pet parents.”

Canine Caviar’s holistic diet is available for both dogs and cats in a variety of tasty flavours, such as duck and sweet potato, lamb and pearl milet, chicken with salmon and more, which means your pets can eat healthy and enjoy their dinner too.
