Keep reading to see more from this delightful dog photo session!
Clifford and Norman (the pups), are Shih Tzu poodle mixes, resembling mini Ewoks. And what is the ideal setting for an Ottawa dog photographer to photograph two Ewok-looking fur-monsters? Why in Ottawa’s Arboretum, of course! Thanks to the abundance of space for the pups to run around, Clifford and Norman were able to frolic and sniff until their hearts were content! The result? Energetic and honest moments that are bursting with heart! There is something so sweet about sibling pups — they way they follow each other around, the way they watch out for one another, their antics and goofy play. Watching these two frolic about in the beautiful fall leaves instantly makes you grin. Puppy portraits are all about scruffy, free-spirited moments with their delightful humans and this portrait session definitely delivers.
What we really love about this Ottawa dog photographer’s family session is the casual, care free tone of the photos. Using nature as a majestic background and punctuating each frame with genuine snuggles and love, Lauren McCormick’s work is a combination of art and old-school snapshot. The dynamic energy of her subjects is effortlessly captured while the finishes and composition transport you to a beautiful feeling of a memory in the making.
To be sure, this photo session is a lovely reminder that making time to get your photo taken with your beloved dogs is something all pet parents should make a point of doing. Who wouldn’t want to remember their sweet furkids while they are so little?
